There are 3 ways to choose the concrete mixer: according to the engineering quantity and duration, according to the designation of concrete type, according to the features of the concrete composition and the consistency.

According to the engineering quantity and duration

Large quantities of concrete and long duration, should use medium or large fixed concrete mixer or mixing station. If it is small concrete construction and short duration, should use small and medium-sized mobile batching plant.

According to the designation of concrete type

When the concrete is plastic or semi-plastic type, should use self-falling mixer. If the concrete is high strength, dry hard or lightweight concrete, should use a forced mixer.

3. According to the features of the concrete composition and the consistency.

 If the concrete consistency is small and the aggregate size is large, it is appropriate to use a larger self-falling mixer. If the mixing consistency is large and so dose the aggregate size of the concrete, it is appropriate to use the self-falling mixer with faster mixing cylinder speed. If the consistency is large and the aggregate size is small, it is advisable to use a forced mixer or medium and small capacity tapered inverting mixer.
