How is the concrete self-loading mixer weighed?
Weighing and batching are key steps to ensure the accuracy of the concrete mix formula. This step involves the precise weighing and batching of raw materials to ensure the desired properties of the concrete.
The self-loading mixer is equipped with high-precision load cells, which are usually installed on key components such as the upper hopper and mixing drum.
During the loading process, the load cell continuously monitors the weight of the raw materials. For example, when the bucket is loaded with aggregates (sand and gravel), the sensor measures the weight in real time and transmits the data to the control system. The system compares the actual weight data with the loading amount of the bucket. If there is any difference, the operator can adjust the amount of aggregate in the bucket to ensure accurate batching.
UNIQUE is proud to have a weighing system error of only 2%, and a watering system error of only 2.4%, the lowest weighing error in the industry.
